Microneedling is a safe and effective treatment that delivers long-term visible results.

Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) involves using fine needles to create hundreds of tiny, invisible puncture wounds in the top layer of skin.“The micro-injuries you create stimulates the body’s natural wound healing processes, resulting in cell turnover and increased collagen and elastin production, therefore reversing as well as preventing signs of aging.  Micro-Needling is a safe and effective treatment that delivers long-term visible results. This treatment:

  • Stimulates collagen and elastin production which tightens the skin
  • Improves the skin’s appearance, tone, texture, and elasticity
  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
  • Increases circulation and lymphatic flow
  • Increases transdermal absorption
  • Pushes back the signs of ageing

How much downtime is needed?

This is a minimum downtime treatment. You can expect to be red the day of your treatment, similar to a deep sunburn. By the following day you will notice that most of this has gone down, and you will have a mild pink look that makeup or tinted sunscreen will typically cover.

Microneedling has been used for many years for skin rejuvenation. The fine needles cause direct trauma by stretching the skin as the needles penetrate.  This initiates a repair process that stimulates fibroblasts for new collagen production. It has been used for acne scars, alopecia, stretch marks, and wrinkling 2–5. In addition, the needles create channels that allow for direct delivery of topical medications applied to the skin. It is considered safe for all skin types, with little risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation.

How often are the treatments recommended?

In order to see the best results, we recommend a series of 3 treatment, spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

After an initial series is completed, your  practioner will discuss maintenance treatments with you.

Fractionated Radiofrequency

Microneedling RF is the most innovative microneedling treatment available. RF stands for radio frequency. Together the microneedles work with the energy from the radio frequency to stimulate the collagen and hyaluronic acid within the affected area, and hydrating and tightening the skin.

Radiofrequency and microneedling were subsequently combined in an attempt to enhance the results that could be achieved with either one alone. The combination technology creates fractional radiofrequency coagulation of dermal collagen and results in immediate collagen contraction. It also stimulates a natural healing response which leads to the replacement of damaged connective tissue with new healthier skin.

This combination technology has also been shown to be successful in treating primary axillary hyperhidrosis10. After three sessions, there was a significant improvement in the hyperhidrosis disease severity scale on the treated side in comparison with the control side.

RF Microneedling is one of the most effective skin-tightening treatments to improve fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the eyes, mouth and cheeks. RF Microneedling also reduces pore size, acne scars and stretch marks.
