With a tattoo, thousands of small pigments of ink are injected into your skin. The particles are too large to be removed through the body’s natural healing process, so they remain in the skin permanently.
Laser tattoo removal uses a high-powered, short pulsed beam of light delivered at precise wavelengths to target ink particles and break them up into smaller particles. These tiny particles can then be gradually absorbed and removed through the body’s natural healing process. Over time, the tattoo will fade or disappear completely.
Over multiple sessions, the pigment will begin to fade. Over time, your skin will return to its natural tone and often the original tattoo will no longer be noticeable.
Sessions usually last up 30 minutes and take place in the clean and comfortable atmosphere of our clinic.
Generally, 3 to 12 sessions are required for best results, 6 to 8 weeks apart. Some tattoos can be removed more easily than others depending on pigment colour, the age of the tattoo, design complexity, and location on the body.
During your consultation, we will assess your tattoo and recommend a treatment option.*
